Professor Jack Heinemann:
University of Canterbury, School of Biological Sciences.
Jack Heinemann is a Professor of Genetics and Molecular Biology. He leads the Centre for Integrated Research in Biosafety (INBI), which focuses on understanding and management of emerging biotechnologies. His research focuses on the implications of biotechnology for food systems and biodiversity.
Dr Bill Kaye-Blake:
Principal Economist, NZ Institute of Economic Research (NZIER)
Dr Bill Kaye-Blake is a Principal Economist at NZIER with expertise in the primary sector and food systems. He co-authored research assessing the value of New Zealand’s non-GMO status and the market premium this provides to exporters and tourism.
